Why I love Eagle Idaho

  ,

Eagle is a uniquely beautiful, friendly and family-oriented community nestled in the Boise foothills. Our lovely country setting, of some 29,910 citizens, offers a rich assortment of amenities for residents, businesses and visitors making it the place you’ll want to live, work and play.

If you are considering Eagle for your next home,  you will learn that aside from the quaint atmosphere of downtown Eagle, there are a variety of outdoor activities within 5 minutes of most areas in Eagle. The greenbelt runs along the Boise River, speaking of the Boise River, if you enjoy fishing, kayaking, floating on a lazy summer afternoon your are in luck these opportunities are just south of downtown Eagle. Bike enthusiasts are seen on road bikes on a Saturday morning or catch BMX racing at the Eagle Bike Park, locally referred to as the Veladrome, at the northwest boarder of the city.  If hiking is on your itinerary, the Ridge to Rivers systems connect many trails from various parts of the Boise area to Eagle.  Bike, walk or run for miles and never get tired of the same trails.

Parks are a highlight of Eagle, Gerber Park offers soccer and baseball fields along with a large play structure, spash pads and areas to reserve for large parties.  Merrill Park offers the same amenities close to downtown and the river. Eagle Island State Park offers sledding and snowboarding in the winter months, walking trails and small water areas to paddleboard, kayak or fish all summer long, not to mention a huge water slide my kids have always loved.

Developments in Eagle range from small lots to large estate lots on acreage with views.  Property prices in Eagle remain the highest in the Treasure Valley year after year due to the open spaces, larger lot sizes, architecture,  and amenities offered in the neighborhoods. Some neighborhoods have schools within walking distance, many developments enjoy the Boise River as a backyard feature, water features are a popular option in most areas. others have trails to ride horses on in the foothills.  Price ranges in Eagle range from starter homes to multi million dollar estates.

In addition to the incredible views, parks and outdoor adventures, Eagle provides incredible food for any and every taste! There are so many amazing restaurants like Yumm Cafe, Rembrandts Coffee House, DaVinci’s Italian and the Wild West Cafe just to name a few. Each of these restaurants are original to Eagle and have the cozy home town atmosphere you won’t find in the big city streets of downtown Boise. Many of the restaurants around Eagle are family businesses that have been using and refining their families recipes for generations so that by the time it’s served to you it is a taste you won’t find anywhere else!

Community is the reason home buyers return to Eagle after visiting.  There is something special starting with the friendly environment in the neighborhoods to the restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques. Every smile on the street or wave from the car is a greeting that is genuine and an atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and at home.  This is the way we treated our friends and neighbors in the beginning and it has carried through the years. If you like what you hear then you might just love Eagle. Feel free to call me at any time so I can tell you all about why this has been the best community for me and my family for generations.
