Springtime Activities in Eagle
Ready for Spring!
It’s almost springtime! Time to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. This week’s weather has given me “spring fever,” and I can’t wait to get outside and enjoy the activities Eagle has to offer. We are about a month away until the winter season subsides and we start experiencing the scent of spring flowers and the gentle breeze that rustles tree blossoms! I cannot wait! There are also many recreational activities you can enjoy in Eagle, Idaho during spring.
Hiking & Biking
Whether you’re an experienced hiker, avid biker, or just looking to leisurely enjoy the scenery, there are dozens of places around Eagle and the surrounding areas to do just that. There are a couple of trails that I end up at often. The first is the Veteran’s Trail, a 2.3-mile loop that offers a more moderate trailhead. The Eagle Pathways Trail is a less strenuous option that I have also loved, and it’s located near the river. Both of these trails are exceptionally beautiful!
It’s almost the perfect time to put on your sun hats and get out on the water. Eagle Island State Park offers great fishing spots and is constantly being replenished with fish from the nearby hatchery. Another great place to spend the afternoon is the Eagle Fish Hatchery. Here you can learn more about fish stocking in Idaho and how Fish and Game work diligently to ensure that the fish are happy and healthy for recreational purposes. Spending a day close to the water sounds like a perfect spring activity to me!
Eagle is filled with golfing locations. One of my favorites is Eagle Hills Golf Club which is open to all and a wonderful way to spend a springtime afternoon. Eagle Hills Golf Course is a premier professional course set against beautiful scenery. It is also a venue for events, a restaurant, and a bar. Eagle Hills offers lessons to anyone looking to learn the sport or to improve their scores. After lessons, enjoy a cold beverage and a burger at their full-service restaurant.
Eagle Island State Park
Eagle Island state park offers everything you need for outdoor recreation, from swimming, fishing, disc golf, zip-lining, jogging, biking, grilling, and more! Eagle Island offers something for everyone, whether you’re with your family, friends, or children. The island offers a wide range of recreational activities and a play area for children. Also, a quick fun fact! Zip Boise, located inside the park, is the state’s longest zip line! Eagle Island State Park is guaranteed fun!
I could list endless other things, but I believe it is better to just try it! You can enjoy the sunshine or learn a new skill. As we get ready to welcome spring, be sure to check out Eagle’s amazing recreation spots! See you outside!
